THE Anti-Corruption Corruption Commission is investigating the former Hardap regional governor Katrina Hanse-Himarwa amid rumours that she had misused her office or position for gratification, which is an offence in terms of the Anti-Corruption Act.
Now Minister of Education, Hanse-Himarwa is being accused of having given N$200 000 of public funds to her colleagues and former officials of the regional council, Samuel Beukes and Stanley Katzao. It is alleged that the N$200 000 was part of the Hardap Regional Development Trust Fund that was launched in 2011 by Founding Father Sam Nujoma where N$800 000 was donated. Confidente is informed that N$200 000 from the proceeds vanished into thin air.
