Welterweight boxer Betuel “Tyson” Uushona’s dream to challenge for the world title has finally seen the light of day.
The boxer who dismembered his membership with the Nestor Sunshine Tobias Boxing Academy has joined the Salute Boxing Academy stable a decision he made to ensure he gets a shot at the world title.
Salute Boxing Academy has today announced their second Boxing Bonanza for 2016, in the capital in which Uushona will feature as the main attraction on the evening.
The soft-spoken boxer will trade blows against German-born Deniz Llbay in the World Boxing Federation (WBF) World Title bout.
Uushona boast a professional record of (40 fights, 35wins, four losses and one draw) while his competitor’s record stands (16 fights, 14 wins and one defeat).
The boxing bonanza is scheduled for the coastal town of Walvis Bay, on 25 June at the town’s Indoor Sport Complex.
Reflecting on his preparations, Uushona said he is thankful to Salute Boxing Academy for according him a world title opportunity.
“I am extremely delighted and it is a dream come true to display my boxing skill,” said Uushona.
He said there will be no room for mistakes as he planned to clinch the title at the end of the bout.
The Coastal Boxing Bonanza will feature junior lightweight boxer, Abraham “Energy” Ndaendapo against South African Oscar Chauke in the 12-round WBF International Title.
Ndaendapoa’s record stands at (17 fights, 15 wins and two losses) while Chauke’s has to date managed (48 fights, 34 wins, 11 losses and three draws).
Boxing fans from the coastal town could also look forward to a number of under card fights on the evening.
