Heavy-hitting Namibian boxing star, Walter Kautondokwa, knocked out Ghanaian, Obodai Sai, in the fifth round of their fight, which took place on Friday in the West African country.

Kautondokwa retained his World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Africa middleweight belt by stopping Sai inside the Bukom Boxing Arena.

The Namibian is ranked 8th in the world by the WBO, in his weight category, while the Ghanaian boxer is ranked 14th.

The fight was widely seen as an eliminator bout, ahead of one of the fighters moving on to challenge for the world title.

The bout, dubbed ‘Xplosiv Fight, was organised by Lion Boxing Promotions. It began impressively for the Ghanaian boxer, who displayed some incredible boxing skills in the first two rounds.

Sai dominated the first few rounds, much to the happiness of his country’s boxing fans.
However, in the end, the Namibian power-puncher proved too much for him, and Sai, who is known as the ‘Miracle Worker, could not conjure a miracle to save himself.
The bout was cut short, after Kautondokwa landed a heavy punch to Sai’s face, forcing the referee to end the fight.

By securing victory, the Namibian also added the IBF Africa middleweight title to his collection.

His impressive record now stands at 15 wins from 15 fights, with 14 knockouts.
