A 66-year-old pensioner was allegedly raped in her bedroom at Onalunike in Omuthiya district, last week.
According to Naomi Katjiua, Oshikoto regional crime investigation coordinator said that the suspects allegedly found the victim in her room, assaulted her and raped her.
“The suspect has not yet been arrested, however efforts are being made to arrest him,” said Katjiua.
In another separate incident, a grade seven pupil at Amilema Combined School was allegedly raped by a neighbour at her home in Amilema village on Sunday.
The victim aged 15 is believed to have been home alone while her mother was at a nearby cuca shop at the time of the incident.
The suspect has not yet been arrested and investigations into the matter continue.
A case of suicide was also reported at Onepandangulo village, Oshikoto region, last week.
It is alleged that the deceased was found dead after he hanged himself with a rope on the roof of his sleeping room.
The deceased, was identified as Eliphas Shipanga (48).
No suicide note was left behind and a postmortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
