Former Brave Warriors’ head coach, Tom Saintfiet now contracted at the helm of Trinidad and Tobago (TTFA) national football team is under pressure to produce results.

Saintfiet, who coached the Brave Warriors from 2008 to 2010 before his unceremonious resignation that was clouded by reasons such as not getting enough support from the Namibia Football Association (NFA) penned a two-year contract with Trinidad and Tobago.

The Belgian who had a coaching stint with Zimbabwe’s Warriors and later took charge of the South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) outfit Free State Stars has a daunting task of producing positive results against Panama and Mexico early next year.

KickOff.com reported that Saintfiet’s two-year deal has outlined that the CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers against Panama and Mexico in March next year will determine whether he stays on.

“If he doesn’t get the results we need in those two matches then he could find himself out of a job since we can kiss our World Cup bid goodbye if we don’t get those results,” quoted TTFA President David John Williams.

Prior to the matches that will determine his future, Saintfiet has a Gold Cup playoff to take care of next month against Haiti and Suriname, which will have the group winner qualifying for the tournament in June next year.
