City of Windhoek’s gravy train

THE City of Windhoek’s 15 councillors have pocketed nearly N$1 million in salaries and allowances each over the past two years, Confidente has learned. It has also been confirmed that the councillors between the 2017/18 and 2018/19 financial years will receive a combined 16 percent remuneration increase, a figure far above the average six percent annual inflation rate.
