WINDHOEK’S well-known orphanage, Hope Village that houses nearly 100 orphans and vulnerable children is on the verge of closure after donors that have been funding its operations recently withdrew their support owing to economic hardships.
This has led to the orphanage’s founder, Maritjie De Klerk reaching out to potential donors to assist with money that will be used to pay utility bills as well as living expenses amongst other everyday basic necessities for children stretching from newly-born babies to 20 year-olds.
